Curriculum

At Sacred Heart, learning is facilitated through a developmental approach that emphasises cooperative learning, inquiry, explicit teaching and differentiation. We provide a relevant, comprehensive and varied curriculum to suit all student needs, interests and abilities. Literacy and Numeracy are both taught as whole school blocks and reflect the WA Curriculum. History and Geography, Science, Visual Arts, Music and Physical Education are all taught as specialist areas for all students from Pre-Primary to Year Six. In 2017 the whole school curriculum focus will be Spelling and the teaching pedagogies of differentiation and explicit teaching.
