Classroom Teacher

Full-Time - Fixed Term - Catholic Education Western Australia

Sacred Heart Catholic School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 3/4 classroom teacher to join our vibrant learning community in 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a school that values faith, excellence, and community.

This is a fixed-term position for the 2026 academic year, with the potential for ongoing employment beyond the initial term.

Located in the heart of the Wheatbelt, Sacred Heart Catholic School offers a warm, inclusive environment where staff are deeply valued and supported. Our school is known for our strong pastoral care of students and staff and our deep community ties, innovative programs, and commitment to nurturing the whole child. The school caters for 50 students from Three-year-old Pre-Kindergarten to Year Six, with 4 composite classes of small class sizes.

We are looking for an educator of high calibre who can:

• Embody and actively promote Catholic values in all aspects of school life.

• Demonstrate excellence in pedagogical practice, with a strong understanding of curriculum and a commitment to student growth.

• Be committed to collaborative learning, working closely with colleagues, families, and the wider community.

• Demonstrate an understanding of a variety of teaching approaches, including explicit teaching/instruction, integrated learning, and inquiry-based approaches.

• Competently use the iPad to effectively innovate and integrate technology in the classroom 

• Demonstrate reflective practice, be innovative, and dedicated to ongoing professional development.

• Demonstrate an understanding of the Catholic ethos and a commitment to faith formation.

• Proven ability to differentiate learning and support diverse student needs.

• Demonstrate an understanding and application of data informed practice

Qualifications Required

• A relevant 4 year tertiary qualification 

• Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School (or willingness to obtain)

Graduate teachers

We welcome graduate teachers to apply. Please include referees from lecturers, supervising teachers in practicum schools, and any other sources that have a working knowledge of your skills and knowledge regarding teaching practice. Evidence to meet the selection criteria can be gathered from pre-service teaching rounds.
