Sacred Heart Catholic School in Goomalling encourages applications from a passionate, collaborative, enthusiastic and energetic individual to join our dedicated and professional team.

We are seeking Expressions of Interest for Education Assistants to commence in 2022 in a part time capacity.

Sacred Heart Catholic School is a co-educational Catholic school catering for children from Three Year Old Kindergarten to Year Six. The school has a strong sense of tradition and community, along with committed and enthusiastic staff, who work closely together to provide a supportive teaching and learning environment.

Sacred Heart Catholic School in Goomalling is renowned for the pastoral care it provides, and the school seeks applications from Education Assistants who are skilled in developing and maintaining quality relationships.

Sacred Heart Catholic School Goomalling is located 130km North East of Perth and 40km from Northam. The town has its own hospital, doctor and dentist and excellent sporting facilities with a swimming pool, tennis courts, lawn bowls, golf course, gymnasium, oval and sporting complex. Selection Criteria:
We are seeking highly motivated people with a desire to be a part of a dynamic teaching and learning community.

Applicants should address the following criteria in their Expression of Interest Covering Letter:

  • Support the objectives and ethos of Catholic education
  • Please indicate your preference of either full time or part time work
  • Are positive, enthusiastic, can work collaboratively and have a sense of humour
  • An understanding of the developmental needs of young children
  • Support of the teaching and learning programs across year levels and can work with individual children as well as small groups
  • Promotes and enhances the partnership between school and home, and acknowledges parents as the first educators of their children
  • Has outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrates the capacity and enthusiasm to build positive and constructive relationships with students, staff and parents.

Qualifications Required: - Certificate III or Certificate IV Education Assistant (or working towards / be prepared to acquire)
